DREAMS & WISHES
How many times do we see beautiful homes and cottages that inspire us to decorate our own homes or offices? We see certain photographs that just seem to "call us" to a homey, comfy place within us that stirs our imagination. We personally keep folders upon folders of tear sheets - storing them away for a time when we can bring those dreams to a reality. It isn't that "things" or objects bring us happiness for we know that you can take any house, add love and God inside - and it becomes our "home", our safe place. Many of us have small budgets for decorating while others may not be restricted by cost. . . We at Victoria Rose Cottage browse our favorite magazines like Romantic Homes, Romantic Country, & Victoria - just looking for inspiration. . . .making our "Wish List" and dreaming of having our own romantic cottage. . . Even if those dreams are scaled down or are put on hold - what keeps us inspired is the dream, the wishes, the hope and the planning, the "hunt" for that item that inspires us to keep that decorative spirit within us alive. . .

The chandelier above, shown in our former "Dream Cottage" was inspired by my love for Pink & Shabby but at the same time, I wanted to add some Victorian Romance to the room. .. I started with a Kathy Ireland chandelier, added shades that we sell at "the cottage", pink glass beaded chains combined with antique crystals from a flea market find - and oh yes - I had our very talented lamp shade designer add extra long staggered beads on the edges turning these shades into little showpieces. Wherever our lives have taken us - the chandelier follows. If you have an inspiration piece, please use our contact form should you desire to share it with our friends and website family as well as new readers of our "Dreams & Wishes" pages. CINDY"S ELEGANT VICTORIAN HOME AT CHRISTMAS
This breathtaking home looks like it came out of the pages of Victoria magazine!

We are so blessed to welcome a special friend to Victoria Rose Cottage. Thank you Cindy for sharing your breathtaking home with us. Many of us just adore the romance of Victoria. We hope you too will be inspired by taking a glance into Cindy's gorgeous Victorian home. We love the rose wall covering - just perfect to complement this room and create an opulent place to dine.

Gee - Cindy - your beautiful antique table and parlor chairs reminds me of family and friends gathering around your table counting their blessings! Look at the elegant and sparkling touches Cindy adds at CHRISTmas time. We wouldn't want to take the decorations down.

Cindy's parlor is so elegant and beautiful yet soft and romantic too. We love the wallpaper and all of her other carefully selected and finely decorated antiques. With our fast paced world of today - wouldn't it be nice to gather in the parlor and remember the times when life was elegant and we ladies "took tea" . . . Thanks Cindy for inspiring the Victorian lady in all of us!

Thank you Cindy for sharing your beautiful Victorian home with us. We are sure to have many of our clients visit on a regular basis. . . Every time we look at the photos, we see elegant details - the beautifiul moldings, carved legs, marble tops, Victorian ladies in fine millinery painted on plates, hand painted roses on tea sets. . . Oh to visit those days gone by times - an Era when ladies dressed like ladies and gentlemen carried parasols as they walked their gals from home to home to "take tea" or held social gatherings on the lawns, or even left their calling cards in the grand foyer. Thank you Lady Cindy. . . for sharing your beautiful Victorian home and giving us a warm look back to such a feminine romantic Era. You have blessed our site abundantly! God bless you!
OUR CLIENT, DEBORAH'S BEAUTIFUL HOME FEATURING HER NEWLY REMODELED KITCHEN
INSPIRED BY JOYE'S HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN
The first home we are featuring just takes our breath away and should be featured in Romantic Homes for certain.

What a breathtaking view. Deborah tells us that she works at her computer from "the fountain seat" where she can overlook this beautiful view. Have a spare bedroom, Deborah??

Can you imagine having these gardens on your property? And since they are a lovely Christian family, how appropriate to surround themselves with God's beauty! Deborah tells us that they have named this their "Victorian Garden". It made the perfect place to host a wedding this year!

Deborah waited a long time to have her "Dream Kitchen". We have to say - this one should be in Romantic Homes or Victoria magazine! We love the way she mixed the light and dark woods and the cabinets look more like furniture than typical cupboards. We also love the romantic Victorian paintings and ROSES on porcelain scattered about. It is such a romantic Kitchen yet not too fru-fru or fussy - what we would call "Elegant Romance" Need to hire a live-in cook, Deborah? We would feel right at home there and never want to leave.

Love the soft lighting and the backsplash and of course, those furniture style cabinets!

The detail of this romantic Kitchen is incredible - Deborah - you must have been planning this for a long time. We are so happy to have met you as a client and to share in your happiness. Are you sure you don't have an extra room for two girls who love your taste?

And a vase of fresh ROSES, our favorite romantic bloom tops it off! We also love the bar stools she selected and the two different patterns/style of granite also makes this Kitchen so special. The fridge is also enclosed in furniture style cabinetry. HGTV or Victoria or Romantic Homes - take note! We LOVE this style of decorating.

Even Miss Pebbles enjoys the new Kitchen. She gets to enjoy being near her owners while relaxing in her canopy draped bed located real close to the fridge - convenient for watching any little morsels that might just find their way to her precious little mouth!
THANK YOU DEBORAH FOR SHARING YOUR HOME WITH US & OUR CUSTOMERS
