We love to share photos of our own homes as well as others to give you all decorating ideas and to inspire you to want to create that soft romantic appeal in your own Romantic Shabby Cottage, Tuscan Villa, French Country, Seaside Cottage or Victorian themed home.
One day when we get our transition finished we will be featuring many homes on our site using pictures sent in from ouro customers showing our products in their own romantic settings.
For now, please enjoy the following photos from our own archives.
We title this "Putting on the Glitz"
Just a touch of shimmer is all you need to
put the "party dress" on your own home.
A Spoonful of Sugar And . .
"One Of My Favorite Things"
We took a Kathy Ireland chandelier and then added antique crystals and some pink glass beading. . topped it off with shades that were hand crafted especially for us via custom order by our very talented shade artist. These are the same shades we sell now as our blush shades but we had her add the long staggered beads that "dance in the light" and add so much romance to this piece.
We also can custom order the same shades for you but would have to check to make sure all the raw materials are still available. This is a chandelier that moves when we do as it took months for me to accomplish the look! We get so many offers from family and guests to buy this piece!
It truly is the romantic focus of the room!
Many of you have asked about our wallpaper.
The wallpaper is from a book called "Vintage Garden". We thought this was discontinued until a very special friend and one of our artists found it online recently.
Thank you Debbie!

These stockings truly are "hung by the chimney with care".
These are hand crafted "Heirloom style" Victorian stockings done by our lampshade artist. These are one of a kind and we had them commissioned especially so they could be handed down to my children and they could hand them down to theirs and so on making them treasured heirlooms. Whether they love Victorian theme or not, the special loving sentiment of handcrafted items captures their hearts. Traditions are so important in today's fast paced world, aren't they?
There is nothing more romantic than hand painted roses on a lovely tea set in a setting with romantic Barkcloth covered down pillows, family photos and antique lace reside.
Romantic Roses Totes can make a beautiful style statement and let others know you are a "born romantic" or they can be placed in your home as a decorator item. Hang one on a hat or coat rack, fill with silk florals or potpourri and your room becomes alive with romance.
Don't forget to "Romance Your Kitchen".
We have placed a lot of hand painted porcelain, by Kathy & Joye around our romantic Kitchen and added other hand painted Roses themed items, Christie paintings, French Floral cans, and other romantic items to take our otherwise updated Kitchen and turn it into one that just may indicate someone who loves Romantic Cottage style cooks and lives here!
The beautiful granite takes on a warm romantic look as soon as you add pink roses! When we bought this home, I absolutely could not stand the black appliances - I am more of a cream or white appliance girl. . . Since they were brand new and very good quality, I did the best I could to detract from them by adding my pink roses everywhere!!
Us girls and our love for romance!
The incredible God given talent of our porcelain artists, mixed with our antique Roses plate collection, sure does add romance to our Kitchen.
This is our former Breakfast Nook off the Kitchen.
The wallpaper has also been requested by our clients. It is from the Laura Ashley Collection and is still available in various color palettes the last time we checked. Wallpaper books change so often but a search on her name may bring it up for you. We papered the Laundry Room in a companion print featuring tiny pink roses on the brown background.
We love pink and brown together! Add some paintings from Christie and a touch of sage and you have our own brand of Shabby Victorian Romance!
"The Welcome Home"
We love to mix different decorating styles in our home. We have antique mirrors, Country French sconces, Limoges Roses plates, a Country French Foyer Table, Our Family Bible, always displayed in our Entry Foyer to make a statement of our faith and how important it is to our Home, bowls full of potpourri, and gorgeous Victorian beaded shades with "dance in the light" beading and a gorgeous hand crafted beaded tassel hangs from the antique old world bronze buffett lamps. The floral can we showcase here is no longer available but we have others that you could use to add a dash of romance to your Entry Foyer. We love to place family heirlooms or other pieces in the Entry Foyer as we feel that room should truly reflect who you are as well as be inviting and welcoming to your family and friends. You don't need a separate room. Many homes today are designed with an area set aside as a Foyer. Whether large or small, we feel this is the most important part of your home and should reflect your taste as well as your values.
